POTPOURRI PRELIMS
Potpourri prelims were held on 5/3/2012 from 4:00pm to 5:45pm and was Compered by Roysten .Around 20+ teams participated out of which,10 went on to the next round.In

the first round 19 questions involving text,pictures and audio were used.The second round was purely performance oriented.One member from each team came

forward,picked up a chit with a movie title on it,showed it to the comperer and was given 60 seconds to act it out to the team members.Out of this 6 teams qualified for the

finals.Two teams even qualified with a record time of 6 seconds.This qualifiers are:

QUIZ and SINGING SOLO PRELIMS
QUIZ prelims were held on 6/3/2012 from 4:30 pm to 5:45pm,compered by Afreen .Teams participated in a written round of 23+1 questions(tie breaker).Ground rules were

placed.Discussions or use of cellphones,were discouraged and warnings were given out to teams doing so that they would be disqualified.Simultaneously with quiz,singing

prelims were held in the indoor auditorium from 4;30pm to 6:00pm compered by Eram and Danalecthumy.The judges were,Anu ma'am,Tania ma'am from the physiology

department and Subhramanyam sir from The department of Orthodontics.Singing as usual amassed a lot of spectators who cheered on the singers.Due to a large number

of entries,it was extended to 7/3/2012 along with singing duet and creative writing.

SINGING DUET AND CREATIVE WRITING
Creative writing was held on 7/3/2012 from 4:30 pm to 5:15pm,compered by Salwa and Aishwarya ,the participants were given a time of an hour to come up with something

creative on the topic "as i was sitting on the seashore".There was also a word limit of 2000 words.Simultaneously singing duet was held in the indoor auditorium compered

by Eram and Danalecthumy with thw same judges.Because of the huge list of participants it went on from 2:00 to 6:15pm

ANTAKSHARI PRELIMS AND PAINTING
Antakshari prelims were held on 8/3/2012 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm,Compered by Nazneen and Vishnu,The participants were,as they say,bombarded with questions of the

written,audio and video variety.Questions were highly standard and only people who knew bollywood in and out made it through.Strict invigilations were made and people

using cellphones were disqualified.There were 21 questions with a tie breaker.Meanwhile in the examination hall,painting was held.People showed up with their artistic

equipments and gave form to their creativity on the canvas(chart paper actually) to the topic ,flowers in bloom.

All the music for prelims were handled by Jaleeb,Rashid Niyas and Hilal
BEHIND THE SCENES:The first glitch occured in potpourri when the music refused to play and we had to read out the dialogue.Thankful to a well mannered audience,the show

continued.Quiz prelims although started late,went on smoothly.The question sequence in antakshari prelims were messed up but were corrected much to the relief of the

teams.we were shocked to hear few interns and PGs didnt know about Potpourri being held on 5/3/2012 and had missed out on it.We apologised to them and explained to

them that we had essentially invited every on in college and publicisced as much as we could.When we got the same complaints from our own nursing counterbatch we

made enquiries and it was found to be a typo error in the brochure.We hadnt prineted about the potpourri prelims because we had decided on it after the brouchers were

printed.Every thing said and done,we bid adieu for now.Lets just say something really surprising maybe around the corner.SO BE AT THE FOUNTAIN TOMMOROW 9:00 AM,FOR

THE START OF A RENAISSANCE LIKE NEVER BEFORE
